About the experience
San Marcos preserves cloud forests where it is still possible to see two of the most sought-after birds in Mesoamerica: the Horned Guan (Oreophasis derbianus) and the Resplendent Quetzal (Pharomachrus mocinno).
Our birding tours are slow-paced guided walks with pre-dawn departures, in destinations such as the Quetzal Refuge and Astillero. They can be combined with breakfast at the viewpoint.
